zero tickets so far since i starting driving the cobalt.........tho i've had many a close calls already lol, i have internal radar so I manage to squeeze by alot of hairy incidents. From my last car, lol, the hyundai and the car b4 that the corolla, i ended up with about 8 points on my license........another 8 and it's suspended but I figure within the next year I'll lose about half those points cause every 2 years w/e points on my license dissapear

A common radar detector is cheaper than most any speeding fine.
cheak your local laws to see if they are legal in your area.

mine has saved me for certain at least one time, possibly more.

I wish I could get one. They're totally illegal in Canada, and the cops often use radar detector-detectors. There's MASSIVE penalties associated with getting caught, it's not worth it.

sadly yes this is the case, u gotta be stealthy as *** to have one installed and working 24/7 up here, like a $2000+ fine for being caught with one, tho it's a little different in Alberta lol we get away with ALOT of **** we shouldn't.

I have heard some harsh stuff about canadian auto laws.

no radar detectors
no "modifying your car for street racing" I think that is just ONTario

That the same thing that happened to me in my Camaro except mine was at 2 AM. I was getting on a different highway and this guy was on my bumper. I tossed it in 3rd and got up to 90 or so and then come the lights.

So now the fun part. (summary)
Cop: Have you been drinking?

Me: Yes, I had one beer three hours ago
Cop: Please say your alphabet...
Me: ABC..X Y and Z now I know my ABCs.
Cop: EXCUSE ME!!!
Me: Sorry I was just trying to bring some humor to a poor situation.
Cop: If sounds like your sluring your speech.
Me: My G/f tells me that all the time, Will you give me a breathalizer?
Me: (gave a BJ to the breathalizer)
Cop: Ya, your blowing all zeros, Here is your speeding ticket for 10 over.

I fought the ticket and got it down to a $50 impeding traffic violation.

Hahaha yea i was jokin with a cop one time too when i got a sound violation but it didnt turn out so well.

Me:Hello officer whats the problem
Cop:I heard your music when i passed and you took that turn pretty sharp, it looked like you were trying to run from me
Me:No sir if i was running i wouldnt have gone the speed limit
Cop:Well your driving a performance car and it looked like you took that turn pretty sharp so im going to give you a ticket for your sound system($175) and for rolling through a stop sign???($125) and let that be a lesson to you kid
(Then he dropped my ticket and i got to watch him wobble down the road after it!)
Me and friends:

Then i went out and got a V1

I've been pulled over 1 time for speeding but given a warning. That was almost 2 years ago now.

I've been deep in the import/road racing scene for several years now.. autox and track.. I haven't had a single ticket because I keep it off the street.

the last ticket I got was like 8 years ago in a beater.

you can have fun in a fast automobile and still follow the rules of the road.

I used to have a Cavalier LS Sport. I drive slower in my Cobalt because it's a stick and I pay more attention to my speed. I never actually got a speeding ticket in my Cavalier though. Got pulled over twice though for 70 in a 65 and 41 in a 30. Warnings both times.
