how to tell what tune you have?
Its pretty safe to say that it's definitely tuned........If it wasn't tuned it prolly would run like crap ...... Adding a BOV to a stock tuned car would really mess up the Air/fuel ....then add an AEM intake on top of it and odds are it would be setting a off a engine light with fuel trim codes.
As far as I know the car will not run with an atmosphereic blow off;
since the air is metered before the turbo, having an inline BOV after the turbo totally changes things...
yea i know exactly i believe they are something wrong with it because the dealer don't want me to drive it because he wanted me to wire him the money and deliver it and i said no and he came in and hauled it on a car hauler and didn't want me to test drive it but he started it and it sounded fine.
Look around here, or look at online classifieds/ebay;
Judging from your most recent posts, I'd really be inclined to think you're better off getting a car that hasn't been messed with...
Look for something as stock as possible.

EDIT:
Here, since you didn't specify where you are, here are some leads on other Turbo Cobalts in VA;

you would have to reinstall a factory style "bypass valve" on the turbo ~ and I'd wager it was removed...
no it would not;
it needs to have a "bypass valve" (also called recirculation valve iirc) on the turbo to operate properly...
you're looking at a proverbial rat's nest of problems on that car;
you either:
basically the bypass valve and atmospheric blow off valve do the same thing (relieve unused pressure) - but in in a totally different fashion;
the tune is going to be specifically set up for which ever system the car is running...
cars with atmospheric blow off's will generally hve the air metered after the BOV;
our cars have the air metered before the turbo ~ so running a stock tune on that car will yield conditions where you vent air, and the engine feeds enough gas for all of the previously metered air....
does that make sense?
sorry man

you're looking at a proverbial rat's nest of problems on that car;
you either:
- run it as-is with no to virtually no warranty
- you buy it, and buy all required parts to put it back to stock; convert it back to stock, and hope that it wasn't flagged in GM's system as a screwed with car.
- you buy a car that hasn't been messed with.

Yup.
^This^
Run away from that car. Even if it wasn't modded and tuned, the fact that they didn't want you to drive it until you paid for it is a definite red flag. These cars tend to be beaten like redheaded stepchildren by the young and inexperienced people who own them. Sorry bro.
unfortunately it would be a little funnier if it wasn't so true.
(which is in part why I bought mine new ~ that way I would know the full history first-hand
I was just saying from the stand point of someone who intends to DD the thing, and is worried about a warranty - that the limited slip shouldn't make or break a deal...
I was buying new thou...... trying to find one used might be a different story due to finding one that isn't roached. G85 should have been standard...... then we wouldn't have to even worry about it lol
