Infinity Basslink and mp3 mounting question +USB

Guys sorry for posting this up in here but after two weeks I got no response in the electronics section, so I thought I'd ask my fellow TC owners. Anyone here put a Basslink in their car recently? If so do you think it was a good upgrade or do you wish you went ***** out with a whole system upgrade? I need more punch on about half of the music I listen to, like rock, country, and pop. Rap is ok but it just misses when it comes to other genres.

when it comes to your MP3 players where are you putting them? In the old car there was a front seat bolt I mounted a stand to but no front bolt in this car. I'm thinking of using the Proclip system but it's about $50 after you buy everything.

USB users I have a hard drive hooked up which plays just fine, but doesn't hold memory when the car is turned off, is this what happens to the thumb drives too? I hate that I need to search for album I was listening to each time I start the car

I was finally able to answer my own question about the USB (finally got my hands on a thumb drive) So in case anyone is searching for the same answer, the thumb drive will hold the place after the car is turned off.

So the next question is how big of a thumb drive can be used and still hold the place after the car is turned off

I can only speculate the reason you haven't received a response os simply because no one has put a basslink in...

In my case I upgraded my entire system (speakers, sub, and headunit).... The standard system is nice, but the upgrades have only made it better.... My ipod sits in the pocket on the driver's side. I installed somes leds and a switch so that I have a little light in there when I need to get my ipod out....

Unfortunately, since I have an upgraded system I can't answer any questions regarding memory cards or thumb drives... good luck

I have the TuneFlex for my iPod Touch. It doesn't flex very much, so it sits in kind of a funny place.

..and I had a friend that had one, tuned it properly to his sound system and the other speakers in his car with the proper crossover frequency and settings, and it was one of the best sounding systems I have ever heard. Its all in the setup, and matching all your speakers.

Did you get it to fit in the front plug by any chance? I use my iphone in the car as a replacement for XM (using Pandora, Shoutcast, and a few others for streaming radio)
