jzehren11s' Turbo Build---What do I get?!?

Well I've been throwing around the idea a lot about wanting to do a turbo build, but wanted to just take it somewhere and say"Here's my budget, here's my goal, Go for it!" I recently decided I kinda wanna go at it on my own...with the help of y'all and get a build together. Plan is to have it all installed before I take it out of storage for the summer in April

Current Mods:
-Hahn Intake
-Injen Intercooler piping
-CIA catted Downpipe

Ordered Parts:
-BC Coils
-Powell Hardcore Rear Swaybar
-Powell Stage 1 Tranny Mounts

Goal: 400+ HP

Turbo:
Name: Turbo-2.png
Views: 23
Size: 121.9 KB

Other Items I will be getting are:

--Trifecta Tune/HP Tuner...not sure yet

--ZZP LNF Upper Intercooler Pipe

--KY Clutch with TOB

--DVC-30 Stage 2 Meth Injection

--2.25 Gallon Sumped Tank

So please help me out here, not really sure what else I need, or even if this is a good set up!

Thanks
Justin

P.S. tylerjclance, imma beat you to 400hp :P

when it comes to clutch -

need rear main seal, axle seals, clutch pipe, flywheel, flywheel bolts, transmission fluid, brake fluid.

as far as turbo swapping i'd say go with an s252.

if you want a bolt on solution then go with werks' new bolt on turbo.
shame the efr is going to take so long or i'd say that.
bnr has to be pushed to the limits for a little bit over 400 hp

keep in mind you'll need cams or a fifth injector for anything that puts out more power than the stock turbo when you're using e85.

Justin, you're probably going to have to add in a 5th injector if you're going for 400+ on e85. I think their 400 hp number is on 93, right? So with e85 you should be able to go even more. 430 hp maybe? I believe our injectors are nearly maxed on the stock turbo with e85.

Zzp sells a 5th injector kit, and from what I've read you have to tap into your intake manifold to add another stand alone injector. That injector will supply additional fuel as the throttle is increased. Pretty easy principle.

For your application, Zzp's fuel lobe cams might work as well. The cams are running a bigger lobe for the hpfp so it basically strokes the pump further to provide more fuel/higher pressure, but there is a point where the injection window just can't get any bigger due to the duty cycle of the injectors.

Idk if I'm getting all of this right, this is just from what I remember reading. There was a thread called "zzp 5th injector". The first few pages was a pretty good read.

yes, you'll either need the 5th injector or zzp fuel lobe cams though to run e85 properly at that rate of air movement.

its pretty straight forward. zzps injector is $500 bucks, so i think its definitely worth it. lol.
either that or spend 700 on their cams. or just stick to pump gas.

Aaron brought up a good point, I should stick with 93 octane till I get back to the states cause there are more e85 stations( the one here is 40 miles away from where I live), and that im not 100% set on e85 yet!

Okay that Werks turbo...here is the results of it on a Kappa (RWD)...so the power would be SLIGHTLY higher on our cars due to less drive-train loss.

-390hp on 93 octane BASE TUNE. That was literally just a canned tune they tossed on it. Obviously more of a custom tune will yield better power.
-that was also only at like 21 psi i believe. Bumping that up a few PSI will net more power as well.
-Adding E85 (or more likely an Eblend) will again add more power.
-Meth Injection could also be a good option!

If you ask me, 400hp is VERY achievable with that turbo.

good lord you lnf guys seem to have to do so much to do the 400+whp. What gives? You guys seem to do so well up to 350ish on tune and bolt ons.

Guess Im more referring to the need for cam change or 5th injector etc...

Im thinking im gonna go with the Werks for now, tuned for 24psi? run 93 oct, with meth injection till I get back to the states.

At that point I can then really start building it up more!
