K&N Intake for SS/TC
Had mine on my car for a month already... it's pretty sweet and easy to install
That one for $234.75 or whatever is cheaper than I paid, but with shipping probably about the same as I paid.. sure glad I got it when I did!

It was free shipping and its still the same price now. It looks like it came directly from K&N
Okay, so finished the install after about 1.5 hrs... which 30 of it was taking off the AEM one. A few things...
1. The worm clamp that is holding the old intake assembly to the turbo inlet is a pain in the behind to get off... any suggestions for future removal / reinstall?
2. One of the instructions said to apply the rubber bumper to the inside of the heat shield -- this was missing.
3. One of the final instructions said to secure the clamp sticking out of the heat shield to the front of the frame of the car using provided hardware -- there was nothing that looked like it would even remotely fit the gaping hole it wanted to attach to and there was no stock hardware to re-use -- what's going on there?
Otherwise, I love the sound of it. Going to wait for it to cool off some before I test it out.

Noob Question
Sorry a bit of a noob question here.
I searched the intake on K&N site and it was available for the 2009 Cobalt, nothing listed for 2010. I'm 99.9% sure the 2009 and 2010 are the exact same car (minus a few free options for the 2010 version).
Any reason any of the performance mods won't fit on a 2010 even if stated for 2008/09 only?
Thanks for the info.

Just took my intake off today for some warranty work.
The K&N definitely is smoother down low, the stock airbox has always seen a bit of surge for me and going back to back you can surely tell the difference.
Also it doesnt seem to pull as hard through the powerband ;( and surely doesnt sound as awesome with the stock airbox.
And as i said the turbo flutter had nothing to do with the intake as its still there on the stock airbox. Cant wait to get back home and put the K&N back on

Depends on the dealer and what the issue is with your car. If you have no issues, I dont see a reason for them to say your warranty is voided.
If your turbo is blown, yeah, they find any excuse whether they admit to it or not.
