I dont get why everyone is so in an uproar on "how it sounds". Its a performance mod to get hp/tq and help with responsiveness. Buy it for the sound? I guess to each their own.. no to be bashing on anyone. It has become the "rage" on how it sounds and how loud my bov is. Just the times i guess. Let me know how it improves your ET at the track or even mpg.

I understand that... but i dont. Its like... getting huge mudders on your truck. Why?? In an urban setting your are cool... well at least try to be and they are "loud" on the Hwy. lol.. do you buy them for what they are used for? Dono.. i have heard of city boys that buy boots and drive out to step in cow crap and walk around with it on their feet. lol... we dont step in it on purpose. I totally get "the noise" people like with an intake, but the main purpose is for performance increases. It's all noise with the cobalts it seems. Instead of an ongoing comparo with numbers at the track. Numbers on tunes is one thing, but actually seeing done what a mod is made for.. always fun times. Its like some of the ricers around. I think that is what really jumps to my mind with i keep hearing people say how loud it is.. and with my aftermarket blow of valve its so loud! I can see one of those spoof vids on this some time.. I just dont want to see cobalts acting like the vtec guys people make fun of.. and with huge exhausts and such.

Maybe some scab company should copy it and flood the market lol. You would think K&N had a pretty good idea about demand when they sold out so quick the first time .

 

eh considering how late it came out in relation to production of the vehicle and how many intakes were out at the current time. They were being conservative in case it didnt sell well. Obviously it is a good intake, and is proving to sell well. I bet we see higher production numbers in the next batches.

I talk to a service rep from K&N Monday and I was told that they will begin shipping around the 16th.

 

probably be mid-september before anyone gets one again.

theres a guy on ebay too, anyone know if he actually has them or is waiting on shipment from k&n too?
