I’m looking for suggestions for a muffler for my 2010 turbo. Law enforcement in my area has a program to go after excessive noise and they can make for an expensive day. What are you running for your mufflers ?

 

Been running ZZP's kit with the resonator and high flow cat. Haven't been flagged down for it.

 

I've had the full Modern Performance setup with a catless downpipe for years and have yet to be flagged. It is louder now with the Z57 vs the stock turbo, but can still be driven in a way that keeps the volume down.

 

Likely going with a ZZP muffler, do I need to do anything about my resonator ? It’s still the original

 

whynot just run electric cutout? open when needed, quiet and compliant otherwise

 

Yea that might be the answer to this issue, is one you would recommend ?

 

I think a cutout is a giant red flag to jurisdictions with these laws.

Honestly, if you have not cat, or a high flow cat, that really does make them a LOT louder.

I was going to get an aftermarket catback, but am still running my original, err warranty replacement, exhaust.
