Taking hard corners is a night and day difference. Straight line isn't really noticable.

an SS without LSD sucks...my first 06 SS/SC was w/o and i hated it because my buddies both had the LSD. After it got totaled, I found another identical 06 SS/SC but with the LSD, and it just feels so much better thru turns...the traction is so much better

Better, and more balanced traction. No one wheel burn-outs.

It's 2008. You don't need anymore LSD.

yeah, I didn't get the G85 package when I leased my SS/SC so I don't have a LSD, and let me tell you it sucks, especially after driving one with an LSD... Oh well car goes back so I'm not too mad but the next ride is definitely going to have an LSD...

if you do alot of auto-x or road racing,
basically anything involving power in corners, LSD is godly.

if you only intend to 1/4 mile it, and dont care much about driving like a tard on the streets,
spend your money on somethin else.

At $495 you can't beat the price. If you want to put one in later it will probably cost you double that.

If you're on the fence about it, just go for it. While it doesn't add resale value to the car...it is a pretty desirable factory option.

You don't have it. The ATX transmissions did not even have it available. It is RPO code G85 and only available with the LSJ or LNF engines.

im not sure what name is on the ones in the ss G85. but the ones on ebay are cheap made. from time to time you can catch the ones outta the G85 on ebay for a reasonable price but its not the OBX brand.
