Just make it fast enough to out run the ugly!

I really like the looks of the new MS3. I hope it can out do the LNF. Then I hope someone else beats them and so on and so forth! It's what makes the car hobby fun!

If any true production car runs a faster time (not counting the stripped, near track-only limited run Renaultsport Mégane R26.R which already bested the Cobalt) I'd think the next MS3 might have a good chance but I'd bet the next to do so will be the '09 Focus RS. Ford's new RevoKnuckle hybrid strut/wishbone front suspension and increased power from the turbo five-pot should prove pretty potent and push the limits of front drive. If (when) we get the performance variant of the next gen Focus in the US around 2010 I think that has a good chance of being my next car. What can I say, I'm a sucker for hot hatches.

Come on Mazda. Keep up the pace at picking up. Want more possible parts. Maybe these Mazda gurus will trade up and sell me their MX6s.

This is probably a test mule for the next gen MS3. The body itself is from the current gen Mazda 3 of course. But the next gen Mazda 3 is also riding on an updated platform.

It's also very unlikely that Mazda will be releasing the Mazdaspeed version of the 3 upon release. The Mazdaspeed versions usually come out in mid-life cycles.

But I'm sure Mazda is gunning for the SS/TC's gring time no doubt.

Very good info. There's a possibility that GM may include their upgrade kit on the last model run of the Cobalt SS, that would put it back in the game w/ those cars on the ring...

Yeah, I actually heard and made a post on here from hearing a rumor from a source within GM saying that they heard the LNF stage 1 kit may actually be standard on the 2010 SS/TC (supposedly the last MY for the Cobalt "SS/TC")

Anyways, back on topic. If the Euro Spec Focus RS does make it's way here in 2010 or if/when the next gen MS3 comes out, there's going to be some competition for the SS/TC or Cruze's performance variant if one is to come out.

Also, not that it's really in direct competition but did you guys hear all the news about Volvo confirming that it's considering a 350hp possibly AWD C30R?

that is true, but the current MS3 is the only Mazdaspeed model that has lasted more than 2 years. so it already doesnt stick to tradition.

Hey Mazda kept the turboed MX6 for four years. Then put the motor in the 626. They just change things up.

Right. MS3 came out for the 07MY? so it's going to be around for 3MY's then 07,08,09 then we get the updated Mazda 3 for 2010. How many MY's was the MS6 out for? Was that 2 or 3 MY's?

Here's the thing. Mazda has released pics of the 2010 Mazda 3, but only the 4 dr sedan version. It's unknown right now what's going on with the 5dr, which is the only model the Mazdaspeed version is offered. Unless the MS3 in this pic is the test mule for the 5dr 2010 Mazda 3... And later MS3 variant of it...

Think Mazda is lead by women.

Women designs now and often changes...like a woman.

Oh really....Pontiac didn't design it. They just threw their name on it, etc.

Next. Anyone other than me know the real maker of the GTO?

Let's see a perfectly maintained Cavalier just locked up its motor at 130K...hmmm another one against Chevy. Hopefully I can find out what is wrong before work. Or I'm taking the gas drinking truck to work. Bleck.
