I get an occasional pop but wouldnt want that all the time .

If I was the OP I would do the catless DP 1st then hack off the muffler if it's not enough for you.
I have a catless DP and love the the sound to...but the str8t pipe burble sounds really good to me...I im over 30 but i guess im hitting a early midlife crisis and want a louder cobalt lololol jk

Haha.. well I'm already there son :P midlife crisis that is lol.. I'm catless with stock catback muffler delete as well. It's loud as *** when you first start it up cause of the warm-up cycle, but once it's warm, it's as sweet a sound as you can get out of a 4 banger. Best of any I think; yet if you keep ur foot under control, it's not so loud to draw all the cops in your city to chase you down.. but when you do get on it lol.. expect some heads to turn :P I don't like the smell of the catless personally, but I'm sure you guys who do like it are probably running e85 or something good since ur in the good ole Usa.. I'm stuck up in Canuck land here eh? where our gas sucks azz. I don't get cracks and pops, but I do get burbles n grumbles.. love it
I should also note.. I had the ZZP head put on back in Oct/Nov and it's even louder now.. and deeper when you get on it.. I love it even more haha but it is loud cruising down the highway now.. I'll live, it's all good lol

Situations like yours are why I like my DP from Hahn. I got the modPIPE series, so I can take the straight section out and put in the cat whenever I need to.

I think when the car is popping and all that it sounds like a dirtbike. and it has a really raspy kind of sound when you get on it and let off.

haha yuuuup, best road ever!

I agree the Hahn was way too quiet for me, even with a resonator delete.

We definitely need to have a regional cobalt meeting here soon!

Hell yeah. I'm surprised I haven't saw your cobalt around. What part of town are you from?

My buddy just sold his colbalt and I bought all the parts of it. He put a high flow muffler on the han exhaust

Yeah, man. Muffler deletes sound great on the LNFs. Basically the turbo acts as a muffler so... why have2?!?! haha

I originally bought a Hahn 3 in exhaust and the Hahn 3in catless dp because that's all that was really out when I was buying an exhaust. I cut the res, and it was still too quiet. Then I cut the muffler and put the res in its place and holy ****. It sounds so bad ass. I break peoples' necks everywhere I go. Especially if I rip it. It's deafening.

Lol ...... I'm sure it sounds good. I'm 36 and was surprised how much the cats muffled my car .....just going cat-less ....really made the exhaust note louder.

BTW dont use up your midlife crisis too early...... you might need that down the road for something big lol.
