My '09 Cobalt ss sedan

Hey, I'm new to the forums here. I bought my brother in law's '09 Cobalt ss last month. S1 upgrade and everything else is stock. 35k miles. The car is super clean! I am soooo happy with this car.

Did I post in the right place?

Yeah, I prefer the look over the coupe. I also love how rare the car is. I did some research and apparently only 179 were made of this model and color. I live on Long Island and there are only 4 black cobalt ss sedans registered with mine being one of them. That's cool.

I personally prefer the look of a coupe, but the funtionality of a sedan is no doubt wayyyyy better.

Well, this is my first performance car. I'm currently using it as my daily commuter. Like I said, my brother in law got the S1 upgrade before I bought it. Everything else is stock and I don't plan on changing anything. I'm trying to drive it for optimal gas mileage but it's hard because it's sooo much fun to step on the gas! Ha!

I'll have to look for some decent all weather tires for the winter but I have some time.

if you GMS1 and other than that bone stock,id look into an intake and DP. you wont loose mileage and a few people who have S1 say they have improved gas mileage.

atleast an intake,at first you will love hearing the BPV so mileage might suck if you do go that route and get an intake/DP.

if your driving her in the winter def get dedicated snow tires! i bought snow tires for my sedan last year and it was a beast in the snow..but then again we had a really wimpy winter here in MN. but still, def look into dedicated winter tire!

and nice car BTW!

Welcome! I'm a fellow one of those hundred-seventy-something black sedans.

Its funny - I was getting a sandwich and this 17 year old kid looks out the window at my car and says, "Hey, is that the SS?"

me - "Yup"

"Is it fast?"

me - "It'll hold its own."

"They got superchargers in 'em, right?"

me - "The older SS's do - some SS's are N/A. This one's a turbo."

"****? They put turbos in them? I think the sedans look badass - they best looking little cars around."

me - "WHAT?"

That is the first time I ever heard anybody say anything like that.
