2500bux on a 2.2 would be a forged rotating assembly and a takeoff stock LNF turbo, bigger injectors for E85 and you could be knocking on the door of 400 hp maybe with the right tune.

So I have been looking around to see if I can find one of the Ecotec Turbocharged 260hp motors that come in the newer Cobalt SS…and I can’t seem to find any crate motors with the wiring harness.
Can anyone help me out and tell me what I can find one ready to drop in the car and how much they are?

This is the offroad project that I’m working on just so you can get the idea of what I’m doing

Sorry I did not see that you were trying to shoehorn an engine into the rear of a VW. I would build the 2.2 then. You can get forged parts and work with turnkey. The LNF has so much going on in the electronics that it would be a PITA to get it working. All it takes is a sensor in the wrong possition to have serous issues.

I would go with a Saab 2.0L turbo motor ..... basically an LSJ with a turbo instead of a supercharger. They are alot cheaper than the LNF's and prolly easier to tune ....... Search ebay for saab 2.0 and there are a shitload of them under 1500 bucks.
