There's supposed to be a tube for vac attached where that hole is, where the red arrow is pointing. I didn't read this whole thread, but if that hole is just a hole, then it's a vac leak.

Now I'm going to actually look to see if that's a blind hole or not.

Thanks for chiming in.

I'm thinking that larger line with the braided nylon is hidding the vac line....... I circled in yellow where I'm pretty sure the vac line is connected ...... if you look close i circled the tabs of the clamp holding it on. I could be wrong thou..... I've never had to replace the stock one or install GM stage 1 before.

... OK, I stand corrected.

the second screw hole does not penetrate the charge tube - it bottoms out (I actually just verified this).

I say drive it for another day or so to see if hte torrential downpours (which do mess with stock cars) was the culprit ~ the intake horn is behind the passenger headlamp ~ maybe it sucked in a bunch of water!?

note the Solstice GXP has a water shield for it's GMPP intake/filter;

...or at least I've read this as being called a water shield???

Yep.... it sure looks like the hydro shield that K&N and Injen sells for their stuff.

In my experience after work on any part of an intake system, if you throw an idle code, it hunts, crashes, etc, 99% of the time it's a leak.

You guys pointed out that the lower TMAP sensor is problematic, so I'm betting that's where the problem is. Only other thing I can think of is a collapsed bypass valve diaphragm, which I can fix by installed the forge valve.

Will get back to you guys once we have a solid answer. In the meantime I've been flogging the **** out of the Z06 to keep my sanity.

If you haven't gotten the car back yet, have them check to make sure the flash was done correctly. IMO have them check the lower TMAP as has been suggested to make sure it's sitting flush. The location for that sensor is a PITA to work with whether it's a dealer tech doing it or a DIY'er in his garage.
