Yes. It needs to be removed and then opened. A technician needs to install your old final drive gear onto the new LSD and install bearings.

All that labor and parts at a stealership is gonna run you at least $2000.

Use quality fuels, that is the most important thing. If you use discount garbage gas your valves will build up sludge and rob your engine of horsepower and performance. I always fill up with Shell gasoline, they have a higher quality among all grades of fuel. They are certified as a Top Tier Fuel station, which means their fuel has detergent in it that cleans your engine well. Top Tier gas is the standard in gasoline performance and is recommended by BMW, General Motors, Honda, Toyota, Volkswagen and Audi. I use Shell regular 87 octane with no problems.

Shell has more problems with their gas than any gasoline. Anyone remember when Shell had to pay an untold number of customers for breaking their cars fuel level sender. You couldn't pay me too put Shell in my tank. On top of that Mobil is the gas that DiabloSport uses when they tune of their cars to get the most consistent results.

Also, your car is made for Premium, your hurting your car right now even though you don't think you are. It is tuned for Premium, you wouldn't out conventional oil in it so why put crappy gas in it?
