Official 2008 SS/TC shipping news

Ok, so here is the good news boys. They finally released the batch hold and they are shipping out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here is the real issue with them, one of the pressure lines that goes to the turbo had the wrong clamp put on, it was too large, they replaced this clamp with a smaller one, the reason they were not released is because it was cheaper to fix in house then at the dealers. It couldn't hold the pressure so it would blow by and cause a whistle in the cabin. This leak from the pressure line to the recirculating valve i believe, nothing that could damage the turbo or car. Mine had this issue and it already got fixed so you guys don't need to worry it is all done and over with. HOPE THIS MAKES YOU HAPPY, WATCH FOR YOUR CAR TO GET SHIPPED, ITS ABOUT TIME!!!!!

relative to how long it takes to change a design normally, this may set a land speed record

i did a pre-delivery inspection today on a new tahoe hybrid, i always check the invoices to see what is coming in, i noticed this one had been in there forever, it was made on 3/8 and it finally got here today, it had a engineering hold on it, the mileage was already 70 so just be glad we didn't have to wait that long.

For some reason I think all the hybrid tahoes are comming to the dealers with 70-80 miles on them. We got 3 in the other day and they all had 70-80 miles on them. It may be a testing thing for the new setup.

Anyways, glad to hear the new balts are on their way out, I hope my dealership gets one soon.

Yeah i have seen around 30-50, it already had the updates on all the modules so i think that is what the hold up was. doesn't make you feel comfortable when you see a 18mm nut hanging out by the battery pack just chillin there.

Not sure exactly when this happened i also called DBC and they said check back in a day or two when they got the updated news, since they were shipping them out, they just weren't sure about mine, they said it should be this week, but i got this news that i wrote about from my source at lordstown.

So if I go order one today, there isn't going to be some holding procedure that'll make me wait forever and a day is there? This Turbo lining issue is also solved in the factory?

woohoo! New car here I come!

I don't think you can order 2008's anymore...you have to get a 2009 which will not come as soon. That's what I had to do...
