I went in a week ago paid filled out the paperwork, it was supposed to be there monday and the guy was surprised that it wasn't, so he was gonna call his inventory woman the next day and then call me when he found out where it was. Turns out it didn't leave the train station in Chicago till that monday morning, and he said I should expect it in the middle of the month. He's gonna call me thursday and tell me exactly where it is because he's gonna talk to the inventory lady again lol.

 

Update...Rail car hasn't been completely filled yet but I have been told that it will be shipped this week. Average wait time once shipped is one week. I will post more when I get the info.

Hmm.. I wonder if the GM tracker that dealers use would indicated "In Transit" only once it's on a train, or if it'll be in that status as soon as it's off the production line...

 

The term 'In transit' simply means that the car has been released from QA. This does not mean that the car is actually on a train and that the train is in transit. The car at this point has been released for shipment from the plant...once that is done you have to wait for it to be assigned a rail car, be put on said rail car, wait for rail car to fill....then the train will leave.

 

Awesome. So, keeping all those variables in mind, it makes sense why the Dealer told me it could be anywhere from 1-4 weeks for the cars to actually land here once they are tagged 'in transit'.

No I haven't talked to anyone from the dealer yet, he's gonna talk to her on the 12th. I'm thinking about emailing him today.

 

Hmmm...doesn't make a lot of sense. Inventory people are usually kept in house. I wonder if the inventory person is on vacation or if he is referring to the DBC. He could also be stalling until the next update. Updates are generally done on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

 

It's in California!! My dealer just called me about 25 minutes ago. It should be there tomorrow or wednesday, and I'm picking it up thursday after it gets its lil paint sealer procedure done. SO EXCITED! =]

 

the new car smell still remains in my car and i soo love it...

 

My local dealer here has one coming in and it's now mine. It's only about 70 miles away and will be here this week! Black with black/red interior.

Congrats rissa...now the only question is how many more of us are waiting?... Hopefully mine will ship today. I have been told that it will ship by the end of the week which means I will be seeing mine next week.

I was told last Tues that the car would be in this week.

When I called my salesmen yesterday, he said he would check and call me back. He didn't call me back, not sure if that means bad news for me.

If it goes into next week, I just might cancel the order.

 

Keep in mind there was a batch hold on a lot of cars due to a discovered issue with some turbos.
Don't cancel your order just cause it got delayed a week or two, they're making sure your car doesn't break down 50 miles on the road.

Long story, but I have been told for 4 weeks it's "any day now".
I paid for the car 4 weeks ago. Lost a month of Onstar and XM since it was activated a month ago. Paid for insurance for a month on a car I don't have.

I am pretty much done. I called my sales guy today and he said it doesn't look like it's coming in this week even though the dealership GM said this thursday.

I can no longer go without a car.
