Oil filter PF457G - differences in construction?

I recall the PF457G being made in Germany, but the pair I just picked up from Advance Auto are made in the US by Hengst. The boxes also popped open at the store (glue came undone, didn't look tampered).

Are there any good or bad variants of the PF457G?

Yep, AC Delco PF457G.

I thought I saw that the original 457G's were made in Germany. The ones I just bought from Advance Auto were made in the US by Hengst.
