Oil leak

I've got a oil leak on the drivers side of my car. It never gets low of oil but the back of the engine has oil residue all over it and some of the lines around the turbo have a couple drops on them. The dealer checked it while they were replacing a 02 sensor and he just tightened the valve cover bolts and he said to check it and see if it stops if not bring it back. I've read about a common leak on LNFs but does mine have all the symptoms of it? Its almost like you missed filling it up and it covered the back of the block.

Did the tightening of the valve cover bolts help at all, or no?

I've had my valve cover gasket replaced once and it needs it again.

Honestly I can't tell. It does it just enough to tell I have a leak somewhere. He forgot to clean the block off but he said that he'd still be able to tell if it stopped because it'd be fresh oil.

High pressure fuel pump and cam caps. I've had both fixed, and I think both have TSB out. Search the site.

Your dealer can put dye in your oil to find the source, too, but Wanger is probably right. I've had this fixed once under warranty, and I use the term "fixed" very loosely, here.

Yeah, as long as your valve cover gasket is clean when the valve cover goes back on it shouldn't be leaking. I have had my valve cover off prob 5 times checking my valve train and still no leaks.
