Planning, preparing and putting together a plan for my LNF

I have an '08 black cobalt ss/tc. Right now she's pretty banged up and has a massive boost leak somewhere (so I believe and hope that's all). I haven't had a license in over a year but with my driving privilege returning soon, I'm preparing to work on her.

So i kind of have a few mods in my head I'd like to do and I'm actually hoping some of this subsequently fixes any existing problems.
What I need from you guys are suggestions, advice, and help with any questions I may have. Also any of those "well if you going to do this, might as well do this too" suggestions. Also opinions on brands.

So here we go:
1) cold air intake
2) zzp intercooler kit (hoping this is where I find my boost leak.)
3) long tube header
4) new down pipe w/ cat
5) clutch stage 2 or 3
6) zzp pcm replacement with tune stored on it.

Sounds like a solid plan. Scratch the long tube header. Not needed or even available on the TC. I have seen them for turbo fabrications but not a long tube style. Dont drive like a nut either. You might get away with the factory clutch for awhile too. Have fun!

Okay.. Is there any benefit in switching from stock manifold to anything else at all? And yeah I figured I could get away with stock clutch for a while but figured it's gonna go at some point so may as well change it so I can be a little rough on her without worrying about it.

..

Not really, I dont think our turbos's really like or need headers. If you win the lottery or something you may want to consider an LSJ ( Supercharged ) 4.05 trans , Or better yet a Powell 4.45 if you can find one while the trans is out. Thats going to be the next weakest link..

Okay, thanks for the tip.. That's what I'm trying trying to figure out is what my weak points will be and what would most likely need replacing next so I can plan better.. So if I can run on the stock clutch for a little while.. i should just put money aside and swap out a tranny when I upgrade the clutch?

Know where I can order a set of those gears? And about what's the cost on that? Would the 4.05 from the s/c be better if you drive all the time? I'm just a little unsure on gearing so low. Would you need to change anything on your axles going with the 4.45?

Lnfs use a turbo manifold not a header, no need to change it anyway. If you plan to stay stock turbo keep your stock clutch, it will last and be easier on the trans. You can get a trans built by Powell raceshop choice of 4.45 or 4.05.

I wouldn't worry too much about the trans on the stock turbo.
