i just went into lattof (ced) and talked to a saleswoman about upgrading to a sstc, she said they had no idea when theyre coming in, and she let me in on some info about the axle strike

this is probably old news for some of you, but the axle union is on strike, BUT gm has hired a part time axle plant however they only give a little at a time

perfect timing to go on strike...

Yup they have hired independent shops to make hub parts for the cobalt last order i heard about was 20,000 units, and yeah great timing on the strike, already shut down 30 GM plants now including transmission shops.

$10 says that the first batch of Cobalts snap axles like twigs, due to some flaw that this smaller company makes in all of them.

I'm glad I'm waiting until this fall to get my 'balt.

American axle doesnt make the axles for the Cobalt , they make the wheel bearing hubs hubs GM isnt going to outsource and accept a less quality , you guys will be fine .

and even if the axles weren't as good, they'd still be fine...even though you have more power you don't have that instant JERK of tourque that the sc gives you.
