Something I'm partially confused about with the stock BPV...

When boosting...does the boost pressure COMPRESS the spring and hold the rubber plunger against the BPV plate so no air leaks out and then when you let off the gas vacuum pulls the spring straight again so the plunger backs away from the plate and the air goes out? Or is it the other way around? It seems like if it's the way I described a stronger spring would be MORE prone to fluttering when under boost because the boost is pushing against more resistance? Or do I have it backwards?

I am quite certain that the spring holds the plunger shut when the turbo is boosting, and the vacuum is what sucks it open. Hence the vacuum line on the cap of the BPV.

Could be wrong though. All I know is it works... thats all i need to know.
