Question: Update on LNF Modding

I'm an SS/SC guy, so I'm ignorant when it comes to turbos, so if my questions are unfounded or newbish in nature.....just correct me and let it go. Just trying to stay up to speed and looking for an update on the mods that are out for the SS/TC guys.

I've seen that they can be tuned now, and Hahn has all the piping out for it, just wondering what's preventing everyone from going to bigger turbos and pushing it further?

There are turbo kits out there Synapse, and Balg turbo freak for sure that I Know of there may be a couple others I know the BTF kit it a direct bolt on and you can even drive it to the dyno ti get tuned after. I think the main thing is people are waiting to see the outcome of theses turbos on the LNF there are only a few conversions so far and I think people are waiting on feedback. this is all IMO

other then that there are full exhaust, down pipes, charge piping, intakes, intercoolers, tunes, BOV upgrades, etc.. all from more then 1 company

Direct injection is holding us back at this point. Not enough injection time above 6300 RPMs to support bigger turbo's very well. We are stuck at 22 psi until GM comes out with the stage kit if ever. Then we need higher flow injectors. That is why all the big turbo LNF even the GT35R ones are stuck at 400 whp or so. A 35R will make way more power but we need more fuel and more pressure.

Wow, I have a lot to learn about this car, definitely lacking knowlege of the direct injection.

I'll have to google direct injection. what about it doesn't allow you to up the injectors? In the lsj we just swap them.

EDIT: ok, just googled it. I'm trying to understand it, you guys do have injectors correct? The way it reads on wikipedia, it's almost as if you don't, or that it's a solid piece/fueling system. So, you guys would need a whole need fueling system fabricated till you could move up in mods?

Nobody makes larger injectors to just "swap". The injectors are a lot different than yours that run at up to 60psi. Our direct injection runs at up to 2000psi. Mine Idles at 500-600psi.

Didn't I see somewhere "secondary" injection for DI systems where you put ADDITIONAL injectors on the intake manifold ala direct port?

Oops!! I just found this subject on another threads, "up dating on LNF modding".
