Random Loud Backfire

How/when do our cars make a loud backfire, normally when the revs are dropping.

I know you SS/TC guys know what I'm talking about.

How can I make our cars backfire really loud?

backfire is unburnt gas. you can get rid of your cat converter and add more fuel

haven't looked closely enough at an LNF tune. disable DFCO(deceleration fuel cut off) **** will be popping everywhere

Well, I have the Hahn Mod-Pipe with the E-Cutout, (which means I'm catless).

I'm just mainly wondering how/why it backfires like that. I know it's unburn gasoline, but is there a way to add more fuel without tuning... Like my boys EVO X with a Invidia exhaust backfires right about 3800 rpms, right after he mashes the gas, then lets the revs drop.

! Hell yea! That's badass. But will disabling DFCO make me lose performance? Or affect driveability?

has to do with the tune and exhaust circumstances.

depending on your driving style I would imagine you may lose a few mpg's. the amount would likely be negligible though

to make a ss/sc do it you need to get a wot box set the 2 step above 3k log where the timing cells are hitting while 2 stepping and put -10* timing in those cpl cells. **** is like a shotgun going off!

for your ss/tc try doing it with hpt and the stock launch control. same exact thing.

Threads like this make me weep. How do you get that cool colored flame like they had coming out of their tailpipes on 2Fast 2Furious? They were even color-keyed to each car!

I'm just wondering why it does it only occassionally, and not all the time for me. RYRO knows what I'm talking about.

My car is going it more and more ..... I'm catless with otherwise stock exhaust . Shifting out of 1st or 2nd is where it happens the most . I'm glad i live in the country cause i might get return fire if I lived in gang territory lol. The worse my fuel trim's get the more i hear it too .... i was at -7 ltft and it was popping like a bitch .... put the stock filter in and they are around -2 and it does it way less.
