lol so i have 2 post this i took my friend ray out for a ride tonight and i got on the balt and it was ok,, then he said "it seems like it needs more acceleration " ohh nooo bad wods i spin a u'ie and go comp mode. launch was decent then slammed me in the seat i redline and make my no lift shift 2 second 2 pops out the exhaust and im chirping 2nd he is now holding on 2 the sunroof.. as i shift 2 fifth i think of letting off but noo thats not me rite.. a car passes i look in the side mirror and hes making a u (fast) i knew it was a cop but hey my radar didnt go off.. i throw the radar under the seat and wait for the lights. Sure enough its the red and blue behind me. he comes 2 the window runs my tag (dealer tag mind you) and comes 2 my window after the usual do u know why i stopped you i plead ignorance i really didnt know how fast i was going. So i say "how fast was i going officer" his response exactly "I didnt get a chance to clock you but i could tell it was way over" he goes back to his car i say "ray how fast was i going" and he sais "i dunno from where im sitting the farthest i can see is 120 and the needle was way past there".. soo i dunno how but i got away with a "this is a warning just slow it down sir" and me driving away laughing.

 

lol ya man ive had some close calls since ive had mine lol i need a radar detector

 

lol, pretty funny story, something similar happened to me once as well.
i suspect it's because he can't actually ticket you without being able to prove you were speeding.

 

get a wireless 1 its the best runs on batteries so dosent look like **** in ur car and easily removable if u get pulled over (illegal here neway)

Yeah, I've done that in my SC a few times with friends.
No matter what credit is given to these cars, people still say "it's a cobalt, it's not that fast" ..that is until they come for a ride in it. Changes their view on the car in one second gear pull. They just don't expect to be thrown back as hard as they are.

That's what I love so much about this car.

 

my cousins Camaro SS runs a 10.4 and i got him in the car and now he gives it so much respect. he said he's gonna pay for mods so it will run with the Camaro lol..But yea ill play into it i raced a gti and i was like hmm i dunno man i meen its just a cobalt ull win. Then i walked passed him lol

I have a Bel 995, and your detector and mine are impervious to VG-2 detection (an older style of detector-detector), but not against the newer Spectre III.

cant charge you if they have no proof of you committing a crime... all you would have had to do is goto court and ask how fast you were going and ask them to show you

 

They can charge you by pacing you or dangerous driving without pacing you (your case) - harder to stick, but can be done - if there is a whitness besides the police man, you would be done.

 

with threads like these, it gives me hope that junkyards will have the ss/tc soon so I can take the grill, brakes, and seats...that is if they are not stained.
