The REAL Weight of Stock SS/TC Rims...
The REAL Weight of Stock SS/TC Rims...
Alright...there have been tons of people out there saying they know now much the stock SS/TC rims weigh, but they are all different...I have seen anywhere from 22-26 LBS...and that is quite a large swing. Some people have weighed the entire wheel with the stock tires and have done some math (which is probably the closest we are going to get because I doubt many people have the stock rims sitting around without tires), but I'm not sure they had the correct weight for the stock Conti tires. I looked up the tire weight and the manufacturer says they weigh 26.2 LBS each.
Based on this weight, can anyone say WITHOUT A DOUBT how much the SS/TC rims weigh?
I found the tire weight on the following chart (the tires are 225/40ZR18):

EDIT: I guess TireRack had them incorrectly listed as ZR instead of Z...the actual weight is 22.6 LBS each...

actually its 22.6lbs directly from your link.
225/40R18 NOT 225/40ZR18
EDIT: even tho on tire rack it says 225/40ZR18 it also says 92Y XL.
and i believe there is a typo and it should be 225/40R18 because that is 92Y XL.

Hmmm...I went directly off of what TireRack said...but I don't have my stock tires with me (in storage)...can anyone confirm if they are ZR or just R?
