Running Temp.
Does amnyone else find that there car tends to rn around 90-93 Celcius ( 194-199 Fahrenheit ) while crusing ? And then when I come to a stop. My temp willgo up from fairly quickly and the electric fan comes on at 95 (203 F. ) with in 20 scondsor so. And it NEVER gets any hotter then 96 celcius ( 205 F. ) whie idiling or a long period. The temp does come down with thefan on and then the fan turns ff. And if im just a a stop light the temp drops right away also. I just findthe temp climbs fast compared to what I would expect. Does anyone else notce the same sort o thing ?
P.s- The car has never overheated.
Or even come close. Just heats up faster then I would think it would as soon as I come to a stop.

If the car is totally warmed up and I come to a stop light. If it is a longer light it will go from the normal running temp to the piont were the fan will kick in fairly fast. Maybe more like 30-40 seconds. But I find if my car runs at 92 ish celcius ( 197 F. ) it is only a few degrees celcius ( 95 C.) ( 203 F. ) from the fan kicking in . And those 2 or 3 degrees go pretty fast. But then the temp comes down right away with fan on or if I start moving.
Also , I just noticed you have an lsj. My 06 ss/sc lsj was probaly the same as your lsj. They run cooler and dont seem to carry as much heat. My old lsj could sit at idle for almost ten minutes befor ethe fan kicked in. My lnf from day one I always thought ran hot untill members told me that was normal for an lnf. And I find it climbs fast in the heat department.

Yeah I get upwards of 93-94-95 when sitting at a timmies drive through. But as soon as I get on the road she comes right back down 88-90. I just thought the engine loved incoming air and hate idling.

Go figure , Sox buys a vette and turns into a super douche bag !!
I guess this is exactly the reason why so many people have left the forums and or stopped posting.
Either way. The sea foam and smoking. Bad idea. But at least I figured out what was causing the car smoke on start up. And I was able to fix it for $40 dollars !
As for this thread , I'm not obsessing like the sea foam thread. I was nearly asking a question if other members lnf's climb so quickly in heat at a stop light ! So in the nicest way I can say this to you Sox. GTFO !!!

mine runs between 89-93C but will climb to 96 at a stop as well. you have nothing to worry about. i saw temps of 110C before i shut my engine down and had it towed for an engine replacement. i never once got a warning or saw a dummy light for high temps.
you're good.

Rough. My 2002 sunfire gt L61 2.2 never saw temps like that. I even put an m62 supercharger on without an intercooler and it never went near that high.
