Exactly. KBB does NOT sell or buy cars. They give a projected value based on preconfigured depreciation figures. I genuinely believe KBB is the main reason that resale values blow hard on most cars. If a dealer or any potential buyer simply looked at a cars original sticker price and made their own judgement based off mileage, condition, year, desireability, etc...the world would be a better place methinks. Instead, now, dealers and private buyers look at the KBB value and then low ball based on that number. It's a shitty system.
