sputtering only at wot and after 4000rpms

I have gms1, downpipe, and a mpx intercooler. It drives perfectly fine under normal driving but once i hit wot it will sputter and loose some power starting around 4k to 4500rpms and continue to go in and out to redline which seems really bad so I don't even try anymore . Now it doesnt do this all the time but more often than not. It doesnt loose boost and you can hear the backfiring out the exhaust. My car has only been driven about 500 miles this past year and was never under full throttle until I came back home. It never did this before so I don't know what is going on. I have already been through a few tanks of gas and changed plugs. Any help is greatly appreciated

Injector seals would probBly misfire like a machine gun. Can u scan it while driving somehow? Watch the stft, Sputter sounds like ur leaning out. Don't push ur car like that if its sputtering. Only to check if it's leaningg out, if it is, check ur fuel pressure , ur pump may be going or something.

It's weird bc it will backfire out the exhaust like when you nls and lose of power. It happens once around 4500 then again about 6k. It's not a constant thing and the car doesn't buck or jump it just backfires, looses power, pulls then backfire and loose power. And no I don't have any way to monitor it

that or get a smartphone app and buy a wifi dongle off ebay for 20 buck. u gotta have something to scan ur car with . its much easier to diagnose issues. but ya id say take it somewhere do u can get a clear pic of whats going on, then it will be much easier to help

I guarantee it's linked to your cam position issue. When a DTC of P0011 through P0017 is stored, it will cause the cams to "park" as a result in their "0" position (10* intake, -6* exhaust) and no longer actuate as a vvt cam. As a result this can cause pretty significant power loss when going wot, along with misfire issues.

X2 on the cam issue doubt it's a boost leak I have half boost due to a boost leak on end tank and it don't sputter at all.
