ss badges

i looked at the how to on how to chrome ss badges. there was someone on there that said the 08 and up just uses a white in lay. is this true for all the 08+ ss's? if it is, does anyone know the best way to remove the inlays? thanks for the help.

alright. i have some paint stripper already, will that work?

also, just looking to get an opinion from everyone. i have a sport red tint ss with painted black headlights and tinted tails and im eventually probably going to powdercoat my wheels black or graphite gray. do you guys think if i chromed my ss badges it would look like crap because everything else is black on my car.

ya i think black would look best but if you did chrome and didn't like it you could always buy black inlays

Do not buy inlays, they look like **** and most of them do not fit properly. I learned the hard way. The best way is to go to Walmart and purchase some spray paint suited for plastic. Mask the badge off the way you like yourself and then paint.

I never had luck with the inlays either. I just left the two on the sides "stock" looking.
