SS/TC NLS Tips/?
I'm having a tough time having a good run. My question is, Why after a 1-2 NLS my engine seems to cut out? Also, are there any tricks or tips for a perfect run down the strip? I'm GM Stage I, and other wise stock. The cutout is costing 1-2 seconds at least in a run down the strip. Another problem being it is a 2+ hr drive to the strip, and i'm sick of having fumbled runs. I appologise for the repost.. i'm sure people have asked this more than once. Any advice is well recieved. Thx!
I'm usually launching around 2k w/o launch control. Have lowered tire psi to 20-22. Have consistant 2.2 60' times and best of 13.9 @ 105 i believe. I have not had a chance to go back.. track T-N-T starts Feb 27. Thx again guys.

Got ya lol... That is usually where i do NLS. Some times it doesn't do it, but for the most part it does bog a bit then hits hard. I do think it has to do with the amount of traction loss there is right before the shift. Also, launch controld is totally worthless tonight. I could count to almost 4 before the tires would hook up. lol..it was really embarrasing. Feathered the clutch the next time i tried it.. and said to myself.. its not worth it.

i have successfully (many many times) nls'd every gear (not 5th LOL). i
really REALLY think you are shifting too late. try it earlier, and see where your car
likes it. i would start out at a touch over 5000rpm (like 5300). if successful, start winding
it a little higher each time. my car is stock, and the highest i can nls is about 5800.
most of the time i start the shift at 5500. any higher and it bounces the rev limiter
and bogs bad. with your tune, i wouldn't even try to nls from 1st to 2nd. it is just too brutal
on the car in my opinion. like i said before, i'm stock and i don't nls from 1st to 2nd, i
think it's just too rough on the drivetrain. (just my opinion though). hope this helps.

The car does not need to be in Comp. mode to NLS. Like others have said if the wheels are spinning it will not allow the NLS to work, you'll just hammer the rev limiter instead.
