Question SS/TC Pull to the Left Poll ! ( Non Torque Steer )

I remember a fair amount of you having a pull to the left, same as I have had since day 1.

So, poll to follow. Mine still has the pull, even after new tires and an alignment. I met a guy with a silver sedan the other day, and he does not have LSD - and, no pull, either.

So -

I got to wondering if maybe it had something to do with the LSD option and decided what the heck - let's make a poll !

Mine (LSD) is sort of equal opportunity on what it wants to do based on which wheel is getting more traction at any point in time, usually based on road surface and how it's hooking up in general. I hardly notice a pull anymore though. I think I may have gotten used to it.

This brings up an interesting topic though, as I'm considering whether or not to get an LSD for the 6 speed conversion.

I meant just the general pull to the left, not when things get interesting and it tries to change lanes on your during WOT conditions.

There were theories about the unequal axle lengths causing that regular driving pull, but if true, then wouldn't almost every front wheel drive vehicle ever made pull ?

lsd and pulls to the right when I hammer the throttle most of the time.

to spend the money on a 6spd swap and not get lsd is the most moronic thing I have ever heard btw.

Normally I'd agree that it's a given to have it, but it's a $1300+ difference in cost, and no F40 ever made has it unless it was retrofitted later.

mine pulls right while crusing, retards at the alignment shop cant tighten the lower upper strut bolt tight enough so if i hit a big enough bump it screws up my camber and pulls.. i have the lsd but im pretty sure that has noithing to do with it.

i have v1s no i have an eccentric bolt hole on the coilover on the top. when we get our new alignment machine where i work im going to be spending a good deal of time shifting the subframe to fix the caster

I'm with Stamina. Depends upon traction, road surface, amount of air in the tires, etc. Can't say it does the same thing with any kind of frequency. LSD.

Yep

The G6s it was in don't have LSD, the Saabs use a combination of eLSD and a Haldex Traction unit to work around it, and the new Buicks don't have LSD either. So if nothing it's been on has had LSD, and even the wiki states it's simply a conventional differential, everything points to all versions of it not having LSD as best as I can tell.

...and that sucks.

No pull and I have a LSD, but the LSD should not impact this. The pull to the left on a FWD car is normally due to torque steer. Go and test drive a Mazdaspeed3 and experience pulling to the left when you launch in 1st gear. My Cobalt SS TC is neutral.

I have the LSD and mine does not pull during cruising conditions. If I do notice a pull one way or the other, I stop and check all my tire pressures. When a tire is down a few psi, it will pull the car a noticable amount, to me at least. I'm pretty **** about that, I keep my tires within 0.5 psi across the axles. As for WOT, I still get like no pull so I don't understand why people complain so much about these cars and the torque steer. The only time I get WOT torque steer, is on an uneven or crappy road.

Yeah it is noticeable just cruising if the tire pressures are off even a little.
