stage 1 and winter?

hey guys i live in Michigan so the winters get pretty rough around here. last winter i drove my car throughout with the stock wheels on them and it was pretty tough lol....if i get the stage 1 for the car and keep the stock tires is it going to be more difficukt in the snow or just about the same?

It shouldn't be more difficult. You have a clutch, you have control of the power. If you floored it everywhere, then yes it would be a tad worse, but you know that.

Before you spend $700 for the stage kit spend $400-600 for some all season or snow tires.
The power is no good when you can't get traction and putting other peoples lives in danger.
If you have some 17s, I have some snow tires I could sell ya for $250

So spend money on 18" snow tires, then. Spend money on proper tires for the winter. It's not worth going Stage 1 if you're going to endanger yourself and other people on the road.

he speaks the troof. although the insurance costs to keep the car insured may not make it worth while.

Insurance went DOWN $5 every 6 months since I placed the cavalier as the primary car for use during the winter.

There are more expenses in owning a winter car besides insurance and gas, but it sure beats driving my love in the winter time. Salt and snow FTL, plus this car literally doesn't move in 1/2" of snow. Literally, it doesn't move.
