How did you hook it up? Describe how you installed it on your LNF.

catch cans dont really work good on lnfs even if installed correctly.....a lot of the ones ive even see are bone dry after months unless they are running higher boost. you need a air/oil seperator on this car.

I have yet to see an LNF that needs one unless the motor is already broken. On the other hand, I have seen a couple cases where improperly installed catch cans have caused the motor to fail. It just amazes me how people decided that they need one when then don't, then they proceed to make their engine worse off by setting one up incorrectly.

Connected input of moisture separator to valve cover, output to turbo. Left breather line from intake alone.

I thought that these engines were known for blowby evidenced by the cruded up valve problem ubiquitous to these cars.

powells seperator works and thats what im reffering too not some ebay catch can. anyway proper way to keep carbon build up off the valves is a good. a catch can doesnt do anyhing. i had a kappa in the shop thats had ddms catch can on there for over a year and its never been emptied....theres was a total of 1 or 2 drops of oil in it.....

improper routing of the pcv is horrid and as you said will sooner or later destruct an engine. ive seen first hand what they do with blockages and so forth.

i think the assumption that its a turbo car is what makes people think they need them or people that spend too muchtime on the neon srt4 forums and think its the same hhahaha,

I've caught quite a bit with this setup over the three years I've had it on, I guess when the engine burped all sorts of oil it was too much. Check out the amount in the pic I posted, a lot more than a drop!

The valves get that way because the direct injection system does not have gas flowing across the valves the way port injection does. LNFs with 5th injector systems have cleaner valves for this reason.

It does sound as though you hooked it up properly, though. Many people do not and end up making their motor worse off because of it.

Is it possible to run 5th injector just for valve cleaning?

Yes, you could set it up to only spray a little.
