straightpipe w/ resonater
Recently I have purchased the zzp 3.0 catback for my 09 cobalt ss. I added the muffler delete and resonater delete options, so basically it’s completely straightpipe. People told me I’d love it for a week, then hate it. They were so right. I thought i’d never get too tired of it but oh my god.. it’s so annoying now. The resonater delete option was a mistake, it’s very droany and raspy and I lowkey feel like a ricer. I want to get rid of the noise asap. My question is, should i buy a zzp resonater and just keep the muffler delete? any thoughts help thank you

I have a resonator at least with a muffler delete, sounds decent. Been driving it like that for 5 years everyday, recently retired it. I think mine is a mpx 3 inch exhaust with a cat and muffler delete

The best exhaust system in regards to [dollars spent] versus [power gained] is a turbocharger. Can't deny it muffles sound and can't deny it blows away any other bolt-on as far as an incremental gain in torque.

Yeah, I used to be kind of known around in boyertown and I use to live in east greenville/pennsburg area. My car is kinda obnoxious with the back firing exhaust . and it being brought yellow, I've retired it last year and it just sits at my house since I revived my maxima back from dead. I rarely have it out and about anymore.

its pretty easy to swap stuff out. i put a 30 dollar 3 foot long glasspack on mine and a zzp highflow and a straight through chambered muffler and the cars quiet as hell. ive actually pulled past a cop accidentally and didnt get pulled over lol

Just threw the Catless DP on the 09 SS. So I'm running the Catless DP with the stock resonator and muffler delete. Car is unbearable on warm up but after that it's heavenly.

If it's not too late to chime in, I'm running the stock DP, cat, and resonator. I took off the muffler, threw it away, and added a small, generic glass-pak, then put the stock exhaust tip back on. You can't even see the glasspak when you squat down and look at the rear of the car. I've had multiple people tell me how great it sounds, and it's not loud from inside the cabin. Obviously I don't know how much louder your ZZP DP/cat will make the total system, but the glass-paks are cheap and lightweight- might be worth a shot.
