the way that i do it is i only go to 2000-2100 hold it there and just role off it. my 60ft with 32psi in my tires is 2.33. if you start to spin just drive through it dont let off. then grab a gear. But when i ran a 13.9 i had a 2.27 60ft and that was with 27psi.

I've never been to the 1/4 mile, but in the 1/8 mile my best 60' was 2.3 and I trapped 84.5mph. That was with 20psi in the front tires and launching at like 1500rpms or so. Gonna lower the front to 25 and the rear to 40 next time and launch between 2000-2500rpms.

20-21PSI, not sure about the power yet. I am afraid to give it full throttle in first gear. @nd doesn't last long enough to think about. And 3rd is a beat. And WTF my gas mileage improved!?!?!? Butt dyno says 290WHP/320Ftlbs. Will verify this weekend

Can you either here in this thread, or in a PM post what all the Superchips tune can do? I like the fact you get to keep it, and get any updates done from the internet and stuff like that.

Yup no problem. Okay first off its really really noticeable as far as performance goes. Like a said boost holds at 23 PSI. Launch control is taken down to 4k (and for good reason lol) Second gear is really short now and at about 4.5k you start to just roast tires haha.

As far as the tuner goes it a diagnostic code reader/clearer, you can data log, hold your stock tune, update your tune. And the list just goes on haha.

All I can say is just buy it. I highly doubt you will be let down by it.

And specific questions ask and ill find out.

Like I've mentioned already, I already got tuned by Trifecta, and I'll be getting their tuner again once I get my catless DP and to raise the rev limiter. But sometime down the road I might get the Superchips tuner just so I can re-tune the car once I get other mods and be able to go back to stock if need be. I like the fact you get to keep it, and the fact it lowers the launch control, which is something I've never used. Thanks for the info man!!

I do have a few more questions...Can you further lower the Launch control? 4k is great but 3300 would be better I think. And can boost be limited in 1st gear or any gear for that matter? 22-23 pounds of boost in 1st gear seems kind of pointless...Launching the car and getting even a decent 60ft would be damn near impossible.

You can call the techs for a custom program. Thats the beauty of the tuner being registered to you your car and your vin. I will need to mess around with it some more, but I think it feels perfect right now the way it came out of the box with the "91" tune. I am about to move to Tucson AZ, so I have no need to request the 93 Tune.

The power is nice though, if I just tip into 2nd gear there can be a bit of wheel spin. 1st gear seems like its boost limited. (According to my boost gauge.) 2nd and 3rd is over 20PSI. I have not tried it though 4th yet because I have not found a safe place to do it yet.

That is awesome as hell. Do you order it then call and specify things you want or the other way around? Superchips sounds like a real winner!!

I would order it, see how happy you are with it the way it is, then call and talk to a tech about a more custom tune. Or just wait for them to update your programmer with a newer tune. I did the origional tune, it was hitting 20 PSI, I then did the updated tune.(Just downloaded it, and reflashed.) And 21.5+PSI. Pulls VERY VERY hard in 2nd and 3rd. Again not many safe places during rush hour for triple digit speeds.

hmmm, this is what I am going to get for a tuner. I like the COBB tuner for the wrx's out there and this seems the closest thing to it! If not BETTER! I still think I going to get a 2nd ECM though so I dont get the void warranty crap. I don't trust though nifty chevy dealers and there ability to find flashes on an ECM.

wow... i think im going to give the superchip tune a shot. the fact that it has a warranty with it has basically sold me on it.

now whats the difference between the cortex and the flashpaq. they both show the same number increases for the cobalt, but the cortex is a bit more expensive. what more do you get with the cortex over the flashpaq?

You can hook gauges and crap up to the cortex

does the flashpaq come with the warranty?

better question. which is the more logical one to buy, cortex or flashpaq? id like to have the warranty and really only care about uploading the tune.

if you want the warranty then you want the cortex. We should talk to Superchips about getting a rep on here....

The rep told me the warranty comes with the flashpaq too (I would still go with the cortex just to be safe though.)
