*Update* The Tech's Couldn't find a leak on mine - they did a pressure check and also looked under the oil cap to see if there was any moisture on it. They are gonna replace my coolant reservoir and cap, hopefully whatever is going on is fixed?

You fill it to the line in the expansion tank. It won't overfill jack ****.

It's normal for a little coolant to evaporate out of the system after quite some time, especially in the colder temps which will cause the DIC issue the OP is having.

But how much is normal? I never had low coolant on my 2.2 in over 4.5 years, I've never had a single car ever report low coolant and I only ever had to do the recommended flush. From the factory mine is well above the fill line; nothing crazy high that I need to worry about but if that much evaporated I'd have to question where it's going in a sealed tank and sealed system.

I agree with the approach of top it up and keep an eye on it (it is a 50/50 mix of coolant and water) and if it drops low again there is a problem somewhere.
