thinking about getting an 08/09 ss cobalt
whats ups guys. I am thinking of getting a new turbo cobalt and had some ???
I have been talking to a dealer here in Nebraska and he was telling me he can get me zero intrest on an 08 but not on a 09 what are the big diffrences in the 2? I would save around $3,500 in 60 months by doing the no intrest but is the 09 that much better that i should get that instead?? let me know what u guys think.
By the way this will be my first cobalt. so I dont even know how they drive or anything yet.

the 08 SS turbo's are gone, done, sold, u can't buy them anymore cause all of them have owners now..........so the difference between the 2 is that u can get an 09 and u can't get an 08............btw, check this article out and watch the video, yet again the cobalt is on top on things

All the 08's are not gone. If you aren't picky about color there is still at least 1 in Columbus OH. I'm sure other big dealers can find one too.
Mechanically the 08 and 09 are the same. The 09's have a different A pillar gauge which looks pretty cool but I didn't think it was worth the wait for something so small.

no bluetooth in Canada even... Selection for 08s is very limited... I would rather spend a little more and get what I want. Driving 04 IRL right now so no rush to take delivery

yes sir. Those doors have come in handy a lot (46" lcd tv, portable air conditioner, ikea bed) but they are also the cause of many squeaks and rattles. The cobalt was much more solid... I also really felt the difference between the stock springs in the cobalt and the b&g's in mine... First upgrade...?

in Canada, pretty much 99% of the 08 SS/TC's are sold which is why i was told i had to order an 09...........i suppose i could have gotten an 08 from in the USA and shipped it up but it wouldn't be worth it in the end.

I think what he meant to say is that pretty much all of the 08's have been accounted for, and in some areas they are hard to come by.
But yeah there are still some around I'd imagine, probably less than a hundred though.
