to those that are selling there balts for a EVO/STI/S2K/ETC!
ill agree in stock form but put out a grand for a clutch and buy a turbo kit and you are putting down 450-500 to the wheels reliably. Thats if you dont launch the hell out of it. And idk what you mean by noisy cause i get zero creeks and not much road noise that wouldnt be expected due to in being a convertible.
yet your name is vanos and you have had more than 1 cobalt... hahaha
its actually SOOO funny because i am a HUGE BMW guy, am a pretty popular guy among the BMW group of the DMV area. and i drive a cobalt...

also, s2k might be a bitch car. might be a small 2 seater. might be w.e
and i hate hondas with a passion, but the s2k for one, has a GREAT motor. can handle soo much boost with nothing done to the internals.
and is a favorite car when ppl drive them.
friend of mine has a dinan bmw m6, and he used to have an s2k. and beleive it or not misses it....
he says he will never in a million years trade his bimmer for 1.
just read this now... actually
my friend has a new sti sedan
interior is just as boring as the cobalt...

i think he means it in the fact that there arent many companies offering. Like to get a turbo mani there is like 3-4 companies. Buy one for any jdm or dsm and there are 15+ companies easy. There is certainly not a lack of parts made just a lack of companies to give you a variety.

yea lack of options on how to set the car up, are there any stock mount turbo's out there without having to replace the exhaust manifold or down pipe setup cause all i can find is the zzp setup that changes the whole turbo setup, i just think its stupid you have to go all in at once
The only real options basically for the stock manifold at the moment are the bnr setup and the k04+.
Rarely do you see aftermarket turbo setups that will utilize the stock manifold. The turbo flange on the k04 is not a widely used setup

Same, I really cared nothing about the SC. I was considering a number of cars, including the Evo X and 135. Did more research on the TC, and really started to like what I found. If you take a really close look at the car, you'll find that it's extremely durable in stock form. The axles are seriously beefy, the brakes are tremendous, suspension is relatively good, and it's light, although mine is slightly hampered with the useless-to-me sunroof.
you would be suprised at how cheap you can find one...alot of people like the ap1 for the 9k redline. Those can be had for 11-12k with not many miles. I bought my car the way it is for 17k and thats with a beefed up tranny and a 3400 dollar puddymod rear diff and axles. Tuned on a $2000 aem ems/tune

are you sure about that one, forced performance, atp, full race, treadstone and i am pretty sure there are others that i am forgetting that make bolt on turbo options that use stock manifolds, its a quite common practice thats why a lot of people are waiting for the EFR set up so bad
my buddies EVO VIII feels cheaper to me than my cobalt... another guy had an 07 STi and it felt like an effin japanese foxbody mustang... the S2000 is a decently nice car but its really not any nicer than the cobalt in my opinion and they feel super narrow to me... I sold my 2004 Mustang GT and honestly it feels about the same with cabin size but nicer seats and a SLIGHTLY nicer type of plastic used... the only cars i've looked at selling my cobalt for are G8 GT, Camaro 1SS RS, MkIV Supra and a IS300...
Why did I buy the cobalt?
-Good motor
-stout ass block/lower end
I dont care about interiors or pretty colors or highrise wings or whatever. I got mine in silver cuz that's all they had with an an LSD. The RPD was standard and so was the sunroof, I could do without either.
It was between the Cobalt and a Camaro. And with a 40+ mile commute each way every single day and the insurance on the Camaro, the cobalt made more sense. Now I can pretty much murder camaros all day long until they get forced induction going so I dont feel like I sacrificed at all getting a balt oh and 20k out the door on a brand new little pocket rocket like a cobalt isn't bad either for what you get... You can go alot slower for alot more money.
