Out of no where yesterday i heard nasty compressor surge! after i turned it off and waited an hour it disappeared. now it sounds fine again? could extreme heat have something to do with the recirc valve getting stuck closed or is my turbo slowly warping??

 

I get a really wierd noise whenever im under boost (20-22psi) It sounds like cicadas. Is this similar to what yours is?

 

Compressor surge happens at WOT when the turbo is pushing more air than it is capable of flowing.

 

om talking about the flutter after you let off the throttle. sounded like a dieing pigeon
