Turbo help.

Hey guys i dont have a cobalt ss but i just bought a 09 cobalt ls. Its a base model. I want to put a nice turbo in it but i dont know what type of turbo to get in it or where to get one. Can any of you guys help me out. if you could tell me the nicest turbo for the cheapest price or even a link to a complete turbo with the kit, then i would really aprreciate it. Im new to the whole tuner and 4 banger scene. Ive got an 03 impala ss and a 67 pontiac gto so im not used to 4 bangers. My cobalts got the 2 ltr ecotec in it as you all already know. If it matters i live in Baltimore , Maryland. Thanks guys. Oh and i checked the vendors but most of the ones that said they had turbos didnt and some that do well..... im not quite sure which turbo packge is right for my car.

if you has an LS it's a 2.2 and you should have posted this in the 2.2 section since most of the guys who are already turbo'd in this section would have limited knowledge of turbo kits for a 2.2.

if im not mistaken turbotechracing has a hahn kit for the 2.2s. here's the link. http://www.turbotechracing.com/produ...dcategory=5619

the product says its for a 2.4 but seeing as the motors are nearly the same internally and as well as many other aspects i can't see why it would be any different.

but you may want to wait for someone to chime in on my link before going and ordering the wrong thing.

They do have a turbo kit, but garret makes it, you need to make sure that is what you want, i myslef would make my own. Since your only gonna want to boost to like8 pounds at most i hope then you should get a larger turbo sa like a gt30r buit not a gt35rs or so. You could but no point to waste money. You are gonna want more cfms pushing, since you wont be boosting so much, get you exaust dont a high slow 2.2 intake and so forth and injectors a tuner, so there will some work bro

Hahn makes a solid product, just don't order it from them or have it installed by them... My reccomendation is get the hahn kit, then get it installed by a local performance shop and then tuned locally or work with a trifecta dealer

If you're willing to try a supercharger instead, there's a guy I know that put a supercharger on a 2.2 and made 250WHP. For the 2.2s, the supercharger kits are probably much easier to come by. I can give you the name of the guy I know if you're interested. They built the setup themselves instead of using a kit, so they know all the parts needed too.
