Warranty?

What aftermarket parts/tune will void parts of my warranty? I just got an 09 and I want to start modding but I'm scared to void parts of the warranty. Thanks in advance.

for the most part the part has to be the direct cause of a failure to void warranty. mods such as a tune will void your powertrain warrant except fro GM stage 1

a tune will definately void the powertrain warrenty if its found. if you have trifectas data cable you can actually load your stock tune back into your car. other then that aftermarket parts have to be to be the proven cause of the failure of parts on the car otherwise they will not void the warrenty. for instants my car is having rear brake issuses and i have lowering springs. they cannot void my brake warrenty due to the fact that i have springs being that they did not cause the premature wear(the brakes had deep groves before the springs)

If you don't want to have issues getting warranty work done, don't change anything on your car. We get treated badly enough just for owning the SS, so any modification, no matter how insignificant, will get you more problems at the dealership.
