That would ruin my year... If they don't total it, and you get stuck with it - At least you didn't get killed or injured by some stupid driver, could have been a lot worse.

If you had continued onto the roof, then it would've been a total, but that is far from being so. They'll have to do the following:

Replace door skin, replace mirror, replace passenger side rims, fix the quarter panel dents, maybe replace the fender, then just repaint that side (Black is foolproof to blend). I doubt any structural damage occurred.

The resale value of an 08TC is pretty high (I'd say 18,000 or so), so the damage will not exceed 80% of the vehicle's value required for a total out.

Car is designed to kill the motor in a roll over. Pump shuts off.

Resale of an 08 tc is actually not all that great. Unless you can manage to find an independant buyer.

Insurance goes by KBB (Or their own system).

When i bought my car it was totaled.. we painted the front bumper.. and replaced and axle.. and it was fixed..

Its hard to tell whats gonna get totaled and what doesn't.. i think it depends on how big of a fit the owner throws sometimes

Insurance and dealers go by their own system. they generally give you low book no matter HOW damn good shape your car is in. Its really going to depend on the agent etc. bent frame, blah blah blah. I HATE insurance agents.

I put my first cobalt into a gaurdrail at 80mph. messed up the front end. guy ran me off the road. got his license plate and he got ticketed. he had the same insurance carrier i did. they tried to screw me. I locked the brakes up at 80mph without antilock brakes and that squared the wheels. they tried to tell me they were like that.
