You don't need Ultraleggeras or new tires. Just go run it stock, like Joe was saying. If it's your first time, the car is setup fine. It isn't until you get faster when you need to consider things like better pads. Quite frankly, people usually try to get too much tire for their first few events. The result is that they don't learn how to control a car at its limits, instead they drive at their limit.
For what it's worth, I bought a set of extra stock wheels to be my track wheels. They're forged and lightweight. I gave up an extra .5", but it's not really a big deal, and certainly not worth forking out an extra few hundred dollars for a nicer wheels.

For what it's worth, the camera came off the car on the last session (I should of cleaned the mount before sticking it to the car), and it's just fine. Still turns on, still records. Needs a replacement lens, however, at the low cost of $20. I recommend the motorsports package to everyone.
Careful on public roads, it's really unsafe. People/cyclists to run over, deer to hit, etc. Sucks that the closest track to you is 3+ hours away...
