You just shot that idea in the foot.

Seriously, man... Don't upgrade the car... If you're going to do anything to it, put on GMS1 so you don't void the warranty. That way if it blows up you aren't stuck paying for a Corvette you can't drive.

Think of all the money you could drop on that car for mods.... a couple grand, easy. Throw that at your ridiculous loan and it'll go away that much sooner.
