when to tune

Do bolt-ons require tuning? CAI, Catback etc.

CAI/SRI, yes.

Others, you should but don't have to...

Personally, I think it's a good idea to tune whenever you finally get the bolt-ons how you want them. That way you can get the most out of everything and don't have to retune again.

i would tune for the intake but a catback relally dosnt make a differance w/o a dp. if you are allready tuned then i would save money for more bolt ons and a tune but if your not then i would put them on and tune it

the car is completely stock want to do CAI catback and eventially the downpipe but I'm not balling like that. And the Hahn charge air piping. I just dont want to put a CAI on it and have it running lean and blowing it up. I have a trailblazer SS and it has to be tune once a CAI is installed cause those fat pigs run super lean after the cai.

so get a cai and a catless dp and a good tune and give it a muffler delete if you dont like the sound. our cars will get clogged up in the dp because it is very restrictive. do a little research i dont want to tell you what to do but it is a wise suggestion

Yeah, just about every intake currently out has a rich/lean issue of some sort. I'd say slap it on and get tuned. Better yet, do the downpipe, and then do the intake and tune at the same time.

yeah i wish i could get an catless dp but gotta love California and they crappy emissions rules, plus giving my job i could have to move out of the country anytime and they are even more strict on car mods depending on where you are.

It's a 20 minute job to do (swapping DP)

Anyways, I would put DP and CP on. Tune. Then put the intake on the tuned car, drive it for 50-75 miles or so so you get accurate readings on the fuel trims and then retune completely for the intake. You'll five your LTFT's and gain more power!

Florida is good with stuff like that. no inspection, no emissions, no front plate. the only thing u need is registration and insurance. even alot of old people have the tinted liscense plate covers so the camra's cant get u lol and every1 has limo tints

I am buying all my bolt-on's and installing them. The tune comes last from trifecta and then an Air Fuel to double check.
