lol. well its the same thing, has a LSJ.....but then again people dont realize that smh. either way, inconsiderate people to the car world will always hate on a cobalt. my buddy at work who is a big time lotus fan and german cars kept calling bullshit when i told him i was making 385wtq......then i showed him the dyno sheet and he shut up real quick. just as well as the fact that the cobalt rapes cars around VIR and nurburgring, i had to show him that the LNF raped cars like the sti lotus elise SC as well as the S2K........yet again, he got quiet, REAL quick lol. also at a fraction of cost compared to those cars and others.

I've always gone toward the non traditional muscle car scene. I've always had this type of hate lol. But when I got my 03 tiburon gt, that's when I learned a lot of these so called "muscle cars" are just noise.. I have it still and its ported and polishedwith big bore throttle body and quite a few other mods. Needless to say, when a 4.6 mustang or aan sti want to "spank" me, it never happens lol. It was really funny the day I turbo'd my car and destroyed my buddies cobra. He goes v6 6sp ain't **** lol and I walked by him and the hks went off and I swear I saw a slow motion tear roll down his face haha. The cobalt has has luck as well, I'm only stage 2 currently but I've gotten the nod from a few scoobies and mustangs on the interstate. Here in Va Beach its not really so stuck up untill you enter a scene with a cadillac cts-v. 6.2 s/c, yea, its a vette lol and I can't beat that yet..

The only people around here that are a dirt class are the hondas. Hate to say it but nobody cares about your 700hp car that revs to 12k.. it only puts down 300wtq?! Lame ass dyno queens.I can't help but to sneer at those with contempt lol

Also could be is when the Cobalts were out all the rental companies used the base models and hundreds of thousand of them were seen on the road as rentals so when someone gets walked on by a SS all they think is fu*k I got smoked by a rental car.

I had a precision 60-1 on the tib, had to take that off after I got a wreckless ticket lol. Sold the turbo and the custom kit to buy my conquest tsi. Thenbi built that some what and got pulled again! So I'm selling the parts from it haha. The cobalt I have has a new gm engine amd south bend stage 3 clutch with lnf TOB, injen CAI, B&M shorty, ingalls stiffy and gm stage 2. Its pretty fun, but right now its sitting... I have a fuel leak above my tank, haven't had the time to drop it to troubleshoot yet. Cant find any cobalt guys around me :-(

LMAO!!!! ive almost had a ticket for that before, except in a 50........he asked me what was under the hood -_____- but hey, i didnt care, i got a warning and a "race" against the good ole crown vic as he tried to pull past me smiling haha. but yea there was something with the fuel pump i think, not 100% sure. i know its something with the fuel system. look it up. might apply to you.

it's always been this way.
back in the 70's, if you were sitting at the light in a NASTY AMC Javelin after mopping the floor with the Charger, and two dudes rolled by in a Chevelle and a GTO, they would do the same thing.
it's part of the inherent natural selection process built into all of us, and comes from the same place as adolescent bullying.
watch the attitudes of certain groups of owners for a while. you'll see patterns develop-- like the most insecure bullies pick the cars they think are the most powerful or most intimidating, or the more thoughtful guys pick the cars they KNOW they can build to beat the big guns, etc
it never changes
don't like it? get off the playground or establish youself as a non player ( get a car that's "bigger" than theirs, or completely oustside their thing)

^^ This. A year or so ago I went to a subaru meet with a friend that I've known for years(I knew a few other people there too). I was the only cobalt obviously. I had the same thing happen to me. A kid and his buddy in a sti with pink rims wanted to do a 40 roll. they pointed at my car and laughed. so i slowed down, honked it off and put 6+ cars on him. he never came back up to do another race even after I slowed way down.

Yeah sadly its only a small groups of people that have no clue because they bought it like that or they had a shop put some new things underhood and they have no idea of there actions. You will always have different levels in the auto world.

When combined we can all learn alot some (Dumb Asses) more then others. And yeah I agree with Hondas some of the ones around me are really bad and I still ask why would you do that. But we all have to start somewhere and with the market being so vast it would be boring if everyone did the same things.
Car world is crazy for sure but it always works out. Even when you get beat down that one day will come when you finally can smash somebodys brains out in a race without ever breaking a sweat just have to stick with it.

i even got respect for hondas. granted i haven't lost to a turbo swapped one YET, i can appreciate alot of the nicely built/tuned/modified hondas. yeah of course its hard to respect the total ricers/dumbasses/shocker sticker ****/stoplight automatic trans revvers but they are just in their own little world.
