why an lnf???

I want to know why so many people are saving up for the turbo ss. If you get the sc with the stage 2 upgrade, full exhaust, and intake, you will have around the same hp as the turbo balt. Also the sc is way cheaper. The dealers will not negotiate the price because of the new balt.
The new balt will still have the weak tranny, so unless you put a ton of money into it, it will still have the weak tranny, wheel hop, and weak axles. The turbo is tiny. The interior looks about the same (excluding the seats). The guys that have the recaro seats right now are probably a better seat than the new cloth ones anyways. The exterior is pretty much the same. I'm just so confused right now. People that have their balts paid of, or have a nice chunk of change paid of, will now have a huge car payment for about 10 more hp. Am I missing something here?

honestly a lot of people here despise the new lnf. those wanting to upgrade mainly consist of us non s/c cobalt owners. and plus, if people have the money, why not? its a brand new car, something different.

all I have read is that the turbo is tiny. And that there is not that much opportunity for major upgrades with the stock turbo.

After seeing the major fall off in price of the SS/SC i'll wait a year to get a slightly used Cobalt. too much of a waste when I could get one for less han 17 a year from now.

how can you say that it's too expensive??? Are you some type of magician that you and only you know how muchh they are going to sell them for?? The new cobalt isn't a camaro, and it's not a z06!!! They will negotiate the price, you can even negotiate the price of the hhr ss and the new malibu's!!

no, but I bought a 07 ss/sc. I had it fully loaded, and the sticker price was $24,885. I ended up getting it for $19,112 with all the rebates and such. First off, they are not going to have all the dealer incentives because it will be brand new. Also, the new one will always be priced more than the previous model. Especially because it's all new and improved.

Yeah I don't think the starting price will be too but I just really have seen after having m cobalt that the fall off in value is nuts.

You don't know what you are talking about.

GM is hurting too bad to not offer incentives and those incentives will apply to the SS/TC just like they did with the SS/SC and it was a BRAND NEW CAR, not just a revamp.

So, the same goes with an Evo and STi. I would highly consider those way more than a cobalt with a few minor changes.

I want a turbo because it has an awsome flat torque curve of 260 ft-lbs.

people want the turbo balt cuz its already set up for a turbo and with a turbo the skys the limit. with a blower however you have many limits, like heat soak from over spinning and more parasitic loss that come swith big blowers

I am happy with my SC. Seems like every car is turbo'd now days. How many 4 cylinder engines can you think of that are Super Charged? It's different. May not be the fastest but its different and easier on the motor. I wonder if you will be able to hear the Turbo at all.

I sure hope it whistles (spools) like a bitch! But, I highly doubt it....
