Wrote a review of my '09 Cobalt SS on a different forum
So I wrote a review of my new (to me) Chevy Cobalt SS Coupe on an S2000 forum. The reason I wrote it there is because I am a former S2K owner and I still participate in forum discussions on the website. I love that car so much that I've owned 2 in the past 3 years!
I recently had a baby with my lovely fiance, and after a long discussion, we both decided it was time for me to move on from a two-seater to something a bit more practical. My fiance already owns an '07 Cobalt LT (with the lame ass 4-speed automatic), so the Cobalt SS wasn't my first choice; however, I test drove plenty of cars prior to checking out the SS. One test drive and I was sold. This car is amazing.
Now the reason I posted this thread isn't to say that I own an awesome Cobalt SS Coupe, though that is partly the reason why. The real reason is because I posted a review of the car on the S2000 forum and the responses were worse than I actually expected. I mean, seriously, I am a huge fan of the S2000, but even I know that a FWD sporty coupe that has beaten plenty of RWD sports cars on major tracks by several different sources, such as Car&Driver or Road&Track, is impressive.
Here's a link to the review and the funny comments people made:

Idk how people can hate on a FWD sporty economy car when these same folks beg Honda to make a better version of the Civic?
I guess it's the Chevrolet badge that turns them off?
I don't like all the car brand bashing that goes around. I know plenty of you guys hate (add the brand name here), so all I can say is I hope this doesn't lead to a flame war of sorts.
I just wanted to make this thread because I found the responses people made on S2Ki about undisputable track times to be hilarious.

All I can say is that the Cobalt SS is a terrific car. I'm getting incredible fuel economy, all while being able to take my infant daughter whereever I need to take her.
On the other hand, the S2000 is my dream car. I was able to own 2 in 3 years. I'm content with my S2K purchases, and I'll hopefully find my way into another one some time in the near future. In the mean time, I'm going to continue enjoying the Cobalt SS.

The S2000 is the most fun car I have ever driven. It's just so easy to drive at the limit! But, it was finally time to limit myself to one vehicle and the Cobalt was more practical.......and faster
S2ks are a hoot to drive. I thought about getting one as a track car, but decided to compromise and get my 4 door SS. You'll love the SS. I used to have a Integra Type R Honda Challenge car. The SS is the best type R that Honda never built.
Some of my thoughts. I havn't read the entire thing yet.
When it comes to room, you bought a coupe. Can't really complain. If you wanted room, they make a 4 door SS
Armrest. Buy one. Take 5 minutes to put in
And welcome to
