Sounds like you'll get a whole new car under the lemon law.

There is a TSB on this... for "hard shifting" I think it had something to do with clips being left on the shift cables that are used for the installation.

Not trying to high jack here, but getting a car lemoned is not as easy as you may think. I went through the whole process with an svt focus back in 2003. Its a very long and drawn out process and included phone call after phone call being made to people higher up than the local dealership. Ford ended up buying the car back from me and giving me a new one. Anyway, my advice is take it in, get the stuff fixed under warranty. If the same problems persist after that then you may have grounds to take more agressive action. Also the first thing they did was send a Representative from Ford down to my dealership and he went over my car with a fine tooth comb for any type of mods or signs of abuse. Just my 2 pennies, take it for what its worth

wait, so you buy a car knowning before hand it is damaged, fine.. But now freak out it has issues?! dude my ms3 was in the shop for stupid **** all the time, radio broke, downpipe had a leak at the seal, SO WHAT. Its a new car it HAS A WARRANTY FOR A REASON. **** I lived 2 hours away from the mazda dealership, yeah try driving 8 hours travel time to get a car fixed. Bringing up issues is fine, its letting everyone know what issues a SS may have. But complaining and whining gets you no where. ITS ALL COVERED, FREE!!! Get over yourself, you got the car cheap for a reason. Now go bring it to a dealer to get looked at, and million bucks that wont be under the lemon law until the same part keeps having issues or the fix is more than the car.

x2 lemon law is only when the dealer fixes the same thing more than a couple of times. I just talked to a guy yesturday that has a 09 suburban hybrid. he had 2 trans failures and GM is gonna buy it back

actually dick head what went wrong has nothing to do with why it was so cheap so before you open ur dumb mouth maybe read what is wrong wit my car first...

btw it was the steering wheel positioning sensor which caused a domino effect and popped a fuse causing the electrical problem, and yes it was all fixed under warrenty

well look see lemon law didnt even need to be talked about. And it was a simple fix. Next time before freaking out and thinking about a lemon law take it to a dealer :P Im not a dick im just being realistic. hopefully you dont have anymore issues, at least it had nothing to do with the drive train, thats the worst.

"Lemon laws cover only substantial defects, meaning defects that substantially impair the use, value, or safety of the vehicle. If a defect is safety related, the manufacturer is usually allowed just one chance to fix it before the owner may invoke the lemon law; if a defect impairs the use or value of a vehicle, the manufacturer is usually permitted three or four attempts to repair it. A consumer may also invoke the law if a vehicle is out of service for a certain number of days because of any combination of substantial defects. The time out of service is cumulative, not consecutive, and ranges from fifteen to forty days. Paint defects, rattles, cosmetic flaws, jumpy suspensions, premature wear of the tires, and the like are not normally considered substantial defects."
