1st to 2nd gear grind NLS
1st to 2nd gear grind NLS
2/3 times when I do a no lift shift from 1st to 2nd it grinds a little bit, any idea why? the clutch is fully depressed and it is in competitive mode. the car only has 9000 miles on it.
Not fast enough. Must be faster than 0.2 seconds to activate NLS. Practice
Edit: Grinding is probably occurring at some point due to improper clutch pedal use. Dunno what else it could be. Maybe you let the clutch out too soon?

i know im shifting plenty fast enough, i dont know if im doing something messed up with the clutch or not timing my depressing right. guess i need to practice. btw no clutches for our cars yet?
I cant figure out when I try to do it, it pops then makes this squeaking sound in the front. Almost like grinding a gear. It's holding boost etc but I don't want it to **** my tranny up. Wish I could find more insight on what the hell is going on.
A Tech I talked to explained to me that first and reverse are both unsynchronized. They are also the "same gear" on ours, just connected in two different ways. I was unclear if he meant the actual physical same gear though, but that's what he made it sound like.
I've had the reverse problem too. On occasion I've also had a first gear problem. If you let you the clutch for a sec, put it back in, and then try again it again it usually clears it up. In addition, putting it into another gear (keeping the clutch in this whole time of course) and then trying again also helps I've found.
It seems to not do it so much anymore as it used to. I've also started keeping it in first at stop lights and such more often to avoid being stuck there for a few seconds with cars behind me if I suddenly have problem with first... I avoid looking like a noob or something that way.
